Did you know? Teachers, if you register a group of 10 or more students, you can attend for free! Contact HTAV at events@htav.asn.au to organise your complimentary teacher ticket once you have registered your students online. Please do not register yourself online. Regional and rural schools may have received funds for students to attend VCE Revision Lectures under the Student Resource Package from the Department of Education. Ask your colleagues about funding allocation. HTAV’s VCE History Exam Revision Student Lectures are priced to offer the best support to students. These Exam Revision Lectures are a must for students of VCE Australian History. The lectures will help to prepare students for the exam as well as covering course content and revision strategies.

The VCE History Exam Revision Student Lectures will be launched with a live History Exam Skills webinar followed by the release of the full suite of recorded lectures in each VCE History.
- Live History Exam Skills webinar: All students will be able to attend the ‘live’ History Exam Skills webinar full of exam tips and strategies. This webinar will run in real time at 10.00am Sunday 14 September and will also include Q&A. The recording of this webinar will be made available in the days following the launch of the lectures.
- Pre-Recorded Sessions: The pre-recorded lectures for Australian History will be available to view from 11.00am on Sunday 14 September. Students can choose to watch them at any time during the day and as many times as they wish until access to the lectures ends on Wednesday 19 November 2025.

Lecture 1 – History Exam Skills webinar: The Dos and Don’ts of the Year 12 VCE History Examinations Every year students make basic, avoidable mistakes in the VCE History exams that cost them crucial marks. Students will be guided through the things they can do to demonstrate their knowledge and skills and maximise their chances of success. Everything from the importance of neat handwriting to the best way to structure longer written responses will be discussed. The crucial significance of reading time, and how to use these minutes wisely, will also be considered. This session will be relevant to all three VCE Histories: Revolutions, Ancient History and Australian History. |

Teachers who attended the Student Lectures in 2024, please be aware the recorded subject-specific lectures are the same as those provided in 2024 and align with the current VCAA VCE History Study Design 2022. The History Exam Skills webinar will launch the 2025 Student Lectures and will be presented live and will be available as a new recording in 2025.
